My Infectious Disease Case Study project was a group project that was completed by myself and Staci Bupb, another graduate student. The topic of this presentation is on Hepatitis B including the discovery, prevalence, risk factors, treatment, management, and the global response to the problem. This essential was met through this assignment as we worked together effectively to develop this project using critical thinking skills.
My discussion on the growth of the world's population highlights future growth projections and problems and considerations associated with the growth. Thinking ahead into the future is important for society and nurse practitioners can fill the need for provider shortages as the population grows.
The Health Information Technology Project was a two-part group project performed by me and three of my graduate nursing peers: Staci Bubp, Tamee Zelch, and Tammy Hall. The four of us worked together to build a website for diabetics raised in the south. We called the website D.R.I.T.S. ( Diabetics Raised in the South) and it was designed to educate southern type 2 diabetics on better diabetes management to improve their health while maintaining their southern culture. Part of the project was a paper written to describe the website and the process of developing it.
